All downloads are for GNU/Linux i386/x86_64, Mac OS X and Windows 9x/2000/XP/Vista/7.Note: Windows 9x may work with "deprecated" executables only, that do not include many new features.
Linux distributions might have their own OpenArena packages (try "sudo apt-get install openarena" or use your favorite package manager).
The current version is 0.8.8, which is available as patch (you will thus need to download and install 0.8.1 and 0.8.5 patch first) or a complete package.
Important note: if you have patch pak6-patch085.pk3 file in your homepath/baseoa folder (homepath is your configuration and autodownloaded files folder), you should either move it to your basepath/baseoa folder (basepath is your OpenArena installation directory), or place also pak6-patch088.pk3 under your homepath folder. If 085 patch is under homepath and 088 patch is under basepath folder, you will experience problems! It's strongly advisable to place both patches in the same folder!

To install: Copy the files from the archive into a installation folder of your choice.
Warning: Mac users PLEASE READ - This 0.8.8 "full" (unified) package has been created using Windows, and Mac binares contained there lost some attributes required to execute them. This means that have to use chmod command to correctly set Mac binary files attributes and make them executable again. Alternatively, you can either download the 0.8.8 "patch" package, or download 0.8.8 Mac executables only, and copy the Mac binaries you find there into your installation directory, overwriting those that you previously extracted from this "full" 0.8.8 package (other files -most notably, Windows executables, Linux executables and pk3 files- from this package are OK, and you can use them).
